Why would I want to be a Me/E?

This question concerns the basic class differences of an E/Me against a Me/E. I mean, sure, you have the Fast Casting and the debonair look, but outside of that, what really is there? I'm trying to find some supporting reasons not to be an elementalist primary, but it seems I can't find any. Thus, I came here to find out if there are any differences, outside of those, that show the Mesmer to be superior. Specifically, I'm wondering how their armor ranks against one another.

Any help is appreciated.

Yeah those are the ones I'm talking about. The negligee looking thing with the thigh-highs. Who designed this?

Yeah, that's the only reason I'm a Mesmer. Sure, I could be infinitely more effective as an E/Me, but I wouldn't be nearly as sexy.
